In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the official release, "A mysterious encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of prohibited practices and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The narrative presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden cult.

The questline centers on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
